Pharaoh wanted to keep the Hebrews enslaved. Israel simply wanted freedom. Nothing has really changed since the beginning of time. We all simply want freedom. We must accept the only One that can set us free from sin that has enslaved us and only then will the Truth Set You Free. Even the geese want Goose Freedom.

Irma did a number on us all. It is said that geese will often avoid a hurricane by flying beyond its reach. That did not happen so much with Irma with the width of this monster storm. Hey, even people trying to evacuate Irma often moved closer not knowing the direction it was going. I have only seen one family of geese this week and they were in Kingsland eating tall grass along HWY 40. But, the resilience of this magnificent bird will be visible very soon. If you have a Irma story or a goose/Irma story I would love to hear it. Did you know geese can fly upside down? During flight, geese can twist their necks to flip their bodies upside down, while keeping their heads upright. They will do this to avoid predators like hawks and even to avoid a strong wind. It allows them to lower their altitude in a big hurry.  So what does a goose do during a hurricane. They do just like people do. They eat and sleep and try to move around normally. Sometimes they have to just hunker down and stay put when the wind is stronger than they are.
Geese, like all migratory birds are supreme masters of weather management. They can fly thru and around strong winds, correct their course when blown astray and even use a hurricane to slingshot themselves forward at a very fast speed. Geese can perform amazing abilities beyond anything we can do. They can detect air pressure changes that tell them a storm is coming so they can prepare for a coming storm. Me? I've been sitting in front of a television broadcasting storm warnings for nearly a week to prepare for Irma. The professional broadcasters just never get it nailed down for us to make the preparations we may have needed to make. Of course, there are people that also ignore all warnings and end up with poor results for themselves and their property. What is freedom to you? And why would a goose need freedom? I thought they were free birds coming and going as they pleased. And why would you need freedom? Are we not free to do as we please when we please?
